Visit the Outpost Magazine website located at www.outpostmagazine.com and select the In From The Outpost Contest banner to submit your image, and fill in the required information. Participation is limited to five entries per person during the issue contest period. All entries must be labeled with entrant’s name, address, e-mail address, phone number and include a photo caption/description of the image including where and how it was taken. Entries can be submitted digitally to www.outpostmagazine.com, contest@outpostmagazine.com, or on a CD-ROM, or similar electronic storage device via regular mail to 250 Augusta Ave, Suite 207, Toronto, ON, M5T 2L7. Images will be judged by both Outpost staff and industry professionals before one Grand Prize winner is declared. Contest opens June 10, 2012 HOW TO ENTER: 1. To be eligible to win, a person must be a resident of Canada (excluding Quebec), who has reached the age of majority in their province on or before the date of contest entry. No employee of, member of the immediate family of, or person who is domiciled with an employee of Outpost Incorporated (Outpost Inc.), or their subsidiaries, affiliates and agencies may enter. 2. No purchase or payment necessary to enter or win. Purchase will not improve the entrant’s chances of winning. 3. All successful entrants will be eligible for the Grand and Secondary Prizes, with winners announced shortly after the contest closes. 4. A maximum of 5 entries per person can be submitted. If you submit more than the allotted entries, all of previous entries will be void. 5. Qualifying winners will be notified by email, mail, or telephone shortly after the judging process is complete. 6. Prizes are non-transferrable and must be accepted as awarded and have no cash equivalent. 7. By entering, entrants agree to abide by the contest rules and the decisions of the contest organization, which are final, and release Outpost Incorporated and its affiliates, employees and agents from any liability arising out of this contest or the awarding of prizes therein. 8. Outpost assumes no responsibility for delayed, damaged, or misdirected entries or for any failure of the website during the promotional period. 9. This contest is subject to all applicable Canadian federal, provincial and municipal laws. 10. Taxes and service fees on prizes extra. In From The Outpost contest for two to Jordan is closed as of midnight December 31st, 2012 PRIZES. A total of one (1) Grand Prize will be awarded as follows: Grand Prize (1): Trip for two to Jordan: includes, accommodations, in country travel and some meals courtesy of Bestway Tours & Safaris; return flight for two to Amman, Jordan courtesy of Outpost Magazine; a Sony NEX 5N and Lowepro prize pack. Approximate retail value $8,000. Outpost Magazine is not responsible for technical, hardware or software malfunctions, lost, delayed or corrupted data transmission, line failures of any network or telephone, or inability to access the website. Outpost Magazine is not responsible for any printing errors or omissions and reserves the right to cancel or amend this contest in the event of such an error or omission. Outpost also reserves the right to adjust or amend this contest in the event of a Force Majeure event or other circumstance, including, without limitation, any natural, technological, distribution, public sector disturbance, or political event that affects the proper delivery of the contest. Upon receipt of a Prize, the winner and Grand Prize traveling companion (who must be of legal drinking age) must sign a Declaration of Compliance with Contest Rules and a Liability and Publicity Release, releasing Outpost Magazine, its parent, subsidiaries and affiliates and each of their respective officers, directors, owners, partners, employees, agents, representatives, successors and assigns involved in the supply of the Prize or any phase of contest administration, their respective directors, officers, employees and their agents or representatives and any person with whom they are domiciled, from any liability, damages, losses or injury in connection with this contest and/or the Grand Prize in order to be declared a winner. The odds of winning depend upon the number of eligible entries received. The Prizes are non-transferable and must be accepted as awarded with no cash substitutions. If the grand prize is unavailable for reasons beyond the trip company’s control, the trip company reserves the right to substitute Prizes of equal or greater value. The Prizes are guaranteed to be awarded. By entering the contest, entrants agree to abide by the contest rules and the decisions of the contest administrator, which are final on all matters regarding the contest. Outpost Magazine reserves the right, in its sole discretion to cancel or suspend the e-mail portion of this contest should a virus, bug or other cause beyond the reasonable control of Outpost Magazine, corrupt the security or proper administration of the contest. Any attempt to deliberately damage any website or to undermine the legitimate operation of this promotion is a violation of criminal and civil laws, and should such an attempt be made, Outpost Magazine reserves the right to seek remedies and damages to the fullest extent permitted by law, including criminal prosecution. USER SUBMISSIONS: The contest allows you to submit your own photos and other electronic data, materials or content (“User Submissions”), provided you comply with these Terms. You understand and agree that whether or not such User Submissions are published, Outpost Inc. does not guarantee confidentiality with respect to any submissions. You retain all of your ownership rights in any User Submissions you make in the contest. However, by submitting the User Submissions to us, you hereby grant Outpost a worldwide, perpetual, non-exclusive, royalty-free and sub-licensable license to use, publish, reproduce, prepare derivative works of, display, modify, edit, translate and adapt the User Submissions for the purposes of publication or distribution by Outpost in any format or medium now known or later developed. Outpost may sub-license the rights granted above to any third party involved in the operation of Outpost’s business and/or assign such rights to any assignee of Outpost’s business, without notice to you. You also hereby grant each user of the Website a non-exclusive license to access your User Submissions through the Website under these Terms. You acknowledge that the User Submissions will be subject to criticism both by Outpost Inc. and by the users of the Website. Outpost Inc. reserves the right to publish any criticism of your User Submissions at its discretion and cannot guarantee that such criticism will be constructive. If you are likely to take offence at certain criticism, you should not submit the User Submission to us.
